Let’s take a look at how IPL teams stand at the halfway stage of the season.

After the end of 37 matches, we can say IPL 2024 has reached its halfway mark with every team having played more than 7 or 8 matches each. At this stage of the season, 3 teams have completely overshadowed the other 7 teams namely, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

1. Rajasthan Royals: Leading from the Front

Rajasthan Royals have set the IPL 2024 season on fire, losing just one out of their eight matches. Their consistent performance across all departments has earned them the top spot on the table, with 14 points. With every player contributing to the team's success, RR looks poised to be the first team to secure a playoff spot.

2. Kolkata Knight Riders: Nerve-Wracking Encounters

Kolkata Knight Riders have showcased their mettle in IPL 2024, winning five out of seven matches. Their victories, including two close encounters, highlight the team's ability to perform under pressure. With Sunil Narine and Andre Russell finding form under the guidance of Gautam Gambhir, KKR is eyeing a playoff spot with confidence.

3. Sunrisers Hyderabad: All Guns Blazing

Sunrisers Hyderabad, known for their aggressive batting approach, especially this year, have dominated IPL 2024 with impressive performances. Their powerful batting lineup, coupled with an economical pace attack led by Pat Cummins, has led to victories in five out of seven matches. SRH's high-scoring games have made them a formidable opponent, currently placing them at third in the table.

4. Playoff Contenders: CSK and LSG

Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants are locked in a battle for the fourth playoff spot. With five wins from seven games each, both teams are evenly matched. The outcome of their upcoming match could tilt the scales in favor of one team, giving them a crucial advantage in the playoff race.

5. Must-Win Scenarios: GT, MI, DC, PBKS, and RCB

The remaining five teams - Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore - are facing must-win situations as they aim to qualify for the playoffs. While technically capable, consistent performances will be key for these teams to overcome the odds and secure a spot in the next stage of the tournament.
